HOW TO MEASURE:
Step 1. Measure where you would like the shade or blind
to be installed.
Step 2. Inside mounted shade will recess into the opening
within the window frame.
This is the more desirable location since the blind will be fully
recessed.
There are minimum depth requirements which vary according to the
product you are purchasing.
Step 3. Outside mounted shades can install onto your wood
trim or casing if the trim is a flat surface, or installed above
and beyond the trim/casing onto the wall.
Step 4. Use only a metal tape and take measurements to the
closest 1/8 inch. Measure an inside mounted shade opening across
the top and the bottom using the smaller of the two measurements
as your width. Measure the height on the left and right sides from
top of inside opening down to the sill, using the smaller of the
two measurements as your height. The factory will make deductions
on inside mounts to allow the shade to properly clear when being
raised and lowered. An outside mount shade needs only the exact
width and height you wish the shade to be. The factory makes no
deductions, so the shade will be made to your exact measurements.
Step 5. Each window is unique and can vary slightly - so
please measure each window individually.
Step 6. There are a variety of bracket options - please talk
to us about these prior to ordering your shade.
